Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Puukko Punkkari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolai Demikovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demikovic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Russian National Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Nicolai Demikovic has the better chin. Demikovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Punkkari escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Demikovic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Demikovic is working Punkkari over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Demikovic wants to control from the top but Punkkari keeps moving.

Punkkari working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Demikovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Demikovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
