The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobuev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lobuev decides to stand back up.

Lobuev postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Ruslan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ruslan wants it to stay on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lobuev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ruslan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ruslan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lobuev looks for a takedown but Ruslan sprawls well.

Lobuev feints and as Ruslan raises his hands in defense, Lobuev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Igor Ruslan will probably get the nod.

Lobuev shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruslan tries to sprawl out of it but Lobuev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruslan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lobuev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ruslan's guard.

Poor strikes thrown by Lobuev there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Lobuev throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ruslan because Lobuev loaded up on that one.

Ruslan is squirming around, avoiding Lobuev's attempts to control the action.
Ruslan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Lobuev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ruslan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

I think Lobuev has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
