Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Rendon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryley Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rendon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spencer.
Rendon fails with the takedown.
Rendon is looking to clinch but Spencer is avoiding it.
Rendon tries to close the distance and clinch but Spencer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spencer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rendon sprawls well. Rendon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spencer gets slowly back to his feet.
Spencer throws a right and a left that Rendon avoids nicely.
Spencer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rendon tries to clinch up but Spencer circles away and keeps his distance.

Ryley Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rendon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Spencer.
Spencer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rendon connects with a good right hand that stumbles Spencer. Spencer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Spencer wants to control from the top but Rendon keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Rendon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Spencer is controlling him.

Spencer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rendon was covering up waiting for the punch and Spencer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Spencer won't allow Rendon to get back to his feet.
Spencer passes Rendon's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rendon tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Spencer manages to move to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Spencer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Spencer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ryley Spencer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rendon tries to close the distance and clinch but Spencer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spencer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rendon, pushing him back against the cage.

Spencer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rendon tries to clinch there but Spencer circles away.

Rendon shoots in and bounces Spencer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rendon is fighting to break Spencer's control of his arms but Spencer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
