Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greek Rabio!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabio shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rabio throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cruz misses with a two punch combination.
Cruz scores with a sloppy right hand. Rabio should have avoided that one.

Cruz looks to land a right hand but Rabio moved out of range.

Cruz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cruz wants it to stay on the feet.

Rabio is trying desperately to land a takedown but Cruz is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rabio.

Rabio shoots in looking for a takedown. Cruz tries to sprawl out of it but Rabio keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cruz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cruz misses with a takedown attempt - Rabio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cruz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rabio wants to hold on but Cruz pushes him away.
Cruz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rabio on the ground.

Cruz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
