Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus S!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dusty Mears!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mears is looking to control S's arms but S gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mears has his back to the cage.
S gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mears.
S tries a knee to the head but Mears blocks it.
Mears wants to break the clinch but can't.

Mears has dropped down and is working for a takedown. S is trying to keep an underhook but Mears manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mears scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Mears thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mears looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks S with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mears seems to be working for a kimura but S defends the submission attempt.
S is trying to stand back up but Mears is controlling him
Mears missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
S flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Mears working over S with some ground and pound. S looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mears lands with a punch from half guard.


S is rocked!

Oh S is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mears is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mears is looking to advance position but S won't allow it.
S is trying to control but can't.
Mears stops S from getting back to his feet.

Mears is working for a kimura but S is defending it quite comfortably.
Mears tries to pass to full mount but S defends it.
Mears looks gassed!
S is looking to improve his position.
S seems to have got his legs back now.
Mears lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Mears working S over with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mears throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mears not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Mears is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and S defends it well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
S pushes Mears off looking to stand but Mears dives back in and keeps control.

S is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mears pulls his head out easily.
S taking some punishment here, with Mears in his half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mears connects with a nice short shot to S's temple.
S is looking to escape.
S moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

S scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
S moves in looking to clinch but Mears pushes him off.
S is looking to clinch.

S shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mears is looking to improve his position but S isn't that keen on the idea.
S lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mears really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mears is squirming around, avoiding S's attempts to control the action.
S is really struggling to control Mears but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Mears is looking to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
S looking to control but Mears is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
S dominating with strikes here.
S prevents Mears from getting the reversal.
S trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mears sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Mears wants to get back to full guard.

Mears looking for submissions off his back.
Mears is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dusty Mears dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The fight stays on the outside here - S looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mears throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends S stumbling backwards into the cage! S bounces back off the cage towards Mears, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Mears lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Mears celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dusty Mears!
