The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tepes.

Davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tepes's guard.
Tepes managing to control the position.

Davis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tepes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Davis, into his guard.

Davis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Tepes is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Davis wants to take a breather but Tepes is having none of it.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Davis wants to control from the top but Tepes keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tepes wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment.
Tepes is breathing heavily.

Davis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tepes is trying to keep Davis in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Tepes gets caught flat footed, as Davis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Tepes tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Davis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tepes is surviving well by controlling Davis's body position as best he can.

Davis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tepes has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Davis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tepes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Davis is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Tepes is forced to tap! Great finish!
