The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masaki connects with a jab.
Masaki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Masaki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ya blocks a head kick by Masaki.
Masaki lands with a nice body kick.
Ya walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Masaki looks to land a combination. Ya sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Masaki throws a series of punches but Ya avoids them all with ease.
Masaki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Masaki lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Masaki lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Masaki feints and then cracks Ya's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ya down.
Masaki misses with a head kick.
Chiba Masaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masaki connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Masaki's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Masaki duly obliges.
Masaki lands a high kick!
Masaki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Masaki scores with a one two! Ya had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Masaki throws a sloppy head kick and Ya moves out of range easily.
Masaki misses with the combination.
Ya chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Masaki can pounce on him.
Masaki throws a head kick that misses.
Masaki is breathing heavily.

Masaki gets caught flat footed, as Ya shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Ya is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ya thows a big elbow that misses.

Ya drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ya as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Masaki screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ya! Nice submission victory there!
