Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Liddel.

Liddel shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Well, if Liddel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Liddel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Liddel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Liddel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Liddel seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edwards does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Liddel is on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuck Liddel.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liddel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
