Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and harris stephenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shane Hunter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, harris stephenson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
stephenson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A jab from Hunter misses.

Nice sprawl there from stephenson as Hunter shoots in.
Hunter missing with a left hand there. stephenson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hunter scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hunter.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says stephenson as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

stephenson shoots for a takedown but Hunter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

stephenson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hunter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

stephenson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no stephenson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunter can't do much from the bottom here.

Hunter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! stephenson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! stephenson taps out! nice BJJ there by Hunter!
