The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hughes is pressed up against the cage. Toveri has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hughes down to the mat. Hughes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Toveri stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Toveri wants it to stay on the feet.

Toveri scores with a nice strike.
Toveri stuns Hughes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Toveri shoots in looking for a takedown. Hughes tries to sprawl out of it but Toveri keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hughes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Toveri slaps away a takedown attempt from Hughes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Toveri lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hughes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Toveri as he jumps to the side.
Hughes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Toveri buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hughes gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hughes moves in looking to clinch but Toveri pushes him off.
Toveri moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Ryan Hughes has been cut.
Toveri throws a series of strikes that have Hughes backpedaling.

Toveri lands a big head kick that sends Hughes tumbling to the mat! Toveri takes a step backwards and waves Hughes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Toveri throws a pinpoint strike between Hughes's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Hughes crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Toveri scores a great knockout victory!
