Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Potts!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Potts as he jumps to the side.
Potts works the jab nicely.
Potts swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva.
Potts tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Potts but Potts pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Potts looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.

Potts darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Silva tries to circle away but Potts has him pinned against the cage.
Silva tries to pull guard but Potts holds him up against the cage and eventually Silva drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Potts prevents a takedown attempt there.
Potts has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Silva manages to pull guard.

Silva is working an open guard so Potts takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Potts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

Potts moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Potts's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Potts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Potts misses with a two punch combination.
Silva darts in trying to clinch

and Potts counters by moving into the clinch.
Silva tries to land a knee to the head but Potts blocks with his arms.

Potts's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Silva is breathing heavily.
Potts fails to land with a series of punches.

Potts clinches.
Potts is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage.

Potts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Potts clinches up against the cage.
Potts prevents a takedown attempt there.

Potts manages to break the clinch.
Silva has his takedown stuffed
and Potts counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potts fails to land with a series of punches.

Potts takes the fight into the clinch.

Potts breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Potts lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Silva can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Potts and Silva drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Potts.
