Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Lakovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasha Lakovic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sasha Lakovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Riddick!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakovic is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lakovic is looking to clinch but Riddick is avoiding it.
Lakovic moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Richard Riddick has been cut.

Riddick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riddick drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lakovic looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lakovic looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lakovic!

Lakovic is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Riddick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lakovic is trying to get an arm triangle but Riddick is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lakovic is looking for a kimura but Riddick is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lakovic to get the leverage.
Lakovic thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Riddick to regain full guard.

Riddick isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lakovic stacks Riddick on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lakovic!

Lakovic goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Riddick has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lakovic but great work by Riddick.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sasha Lakovic will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Richard Riddick.
