Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boran has closed the distance and engaged Baird in a clinch.
Baird changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boran fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baird is defended easily by Boran.
Baird looks for a takedown but Boran sprawls well.

Baird shoots for a double leg takedown but Boran sprawls well. He's pushed Baird's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Baird is breathing heavily.
Baird has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boran.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Boran gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Baird to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Baird wants to control from the top but Boran keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boran got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baird has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boran has managed to get both his arms back between Baird's legs - danger averted.

Boran is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
