The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzeneg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Klaus.

Klaus is desperately trying to improve his position but Schwarzeneg has a good base and remains in mount.
Schwarzeneg lands a big shot there that rocks Klaus but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Schwarzeneg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Schwarzeneg throws some wild stikes that Klaus manages to avoid easily.
Klaus is in a horrible position here. Schwarzeneg smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Schwarzeneg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Klaus looks a forlorn figure.

Schwarzeneg lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Klaus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Schwarzeneg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Klaus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schwarzeneg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
