Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne comes to the cage accompanied by Bucktown. Bryan Shooter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shooter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wayne on the side of the head.
Wayne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shooter circles away quickly and effectively.
Wayne thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shooter if he has to take too many more of those.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wayne. That's going to slow Shooter down.

You get the feeling that Wayne really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Wayne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shooter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bryan Shooter just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wayne thows a body shot but no joy.
