The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiodrowicz keeps Machida at a distance using the push kick.
Machida has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Fiodrowicz.
Fiodrowicz throws a leg kick which misses Machida's front leg but catches the back leg as Machida tries to avoid it.
Fiodrowicz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Machida.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fiodrowicz lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machida has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machida and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Machida tries to keep at a distance but Fiodrowicz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Machida is looking to break free of the clinch but Fiodrowicz has double underhooks.

Fiodrowicz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Fiodrowicz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Machida, who protects the arm well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fiodrowicz is working to tighten is grip on Machida's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Machida has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fiodrowicz is really squeezing tight and eventually Machida passes out! Fiodrowicz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
