Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Claude Bawls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Dos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mack the knife. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a right and a left that Bawls avoids nicely.
Bawls tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bawls lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.

Bawls changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Bawls manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nice straight punches there by Silva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Silva.

Silva wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bawls has him pressed against the cage.
Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bawls regains guard immediately.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Bawls is keeping the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bawls has locked up a guillotine! Bawls's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Silva is holding on here and Bawls must be using up a lot of energy. Silva has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bawls gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
