Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ciprian Mukesha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Bayman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mukesha comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Madness. Dante Bayman acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ciprian Mukesha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Bayman!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Bayman.

Bayman has Mukesha up against the cage in a clinch.

Mukesha breaks the clinch.
Bayman slips a jab and a cross from Mukesha.
Bayman shoots in and drives through. Mukesha sprawls well.
Bayman misses with a combination
and Mukesha counters with a two punch combo.

Mukesha looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bayman tries to get to full guard but Mukesha has control of the leg.
Bayman is looking to control Mukesha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bayman avoid being mounted?
Mukesha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bayman on the ground.
Mukesha is looking to take a break and control but Bayman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bayman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mukesha is working away from the top position though.

Bayman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bayman is looking to control Mukesha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bayman avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A punch combination from Mukesha misses.

Bayman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mukesha wants to stand back up but Bayman manages to pass into side control.
Bayman blocks the strikes from Mukesha.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bayman throws a right hand that Mukesha ducks under and follows up with a left that Mukesha also avoids with ease.
Mukesha moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mukesha tries to clinch up but Bayman circles away and keeps his distance.
Mukesha moves out of range of the leg kick from Bayman.

Mukesha changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bayman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bayman can't do much from the bottom here.
Mukesha works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Mukesha lands a few punches from side control.
Bayman struggling a bit here.
Mukesha wants to control but Bayman is keeping him busy.

Mukesha stands up.
Mukesha is breathing heavily.
Mukesha circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bayman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bayman scores with a takedown into Mukesha's guard.
Bayman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Bayman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Mukesha struggling a bit here.
Bayman wants to control but Mukesha is keeping him busy.

Mukesha is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bayman is controlling him well.

Bayman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mukesha down.

Bayman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Mukesha gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bayman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mukesha knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ciprian Mukesha will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mukesha misses with the combination.
Bayman throws a half hearted mid kick.

Mukesha closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bayman to the mat! Bayman manages to get full guard.
Mukesha wants to pass the guard but Bayman is keeping the position.

Bayman throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mukesha escapes and throws Bayman's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bayman is trying to control Mukesha's posture but Mukesha avoids it.

Bayman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Bayman is breathing heavily.
Mukesha lands a glancing blow to the side of Bayman's head.
Mukesha fails to land the takedown.
Bayman circles away from the clinch attempt
and Bayman counters with a left and a right that stings Mukesha.

Nice sprawl there from Bayman as Mukesha shoots in.
Mukesha lands a nice shot that snaps Bayman's head back.
Mukesha shoots in for a takedown but Bayman shows good takedown defense.

Bayman shoots in for a double leg but Mukesha sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mukesha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bayman is fending him off so far but Mukesha persists. Nope, Bayman circles away and we're back to standing.

and Bayman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mukesha is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bayman stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mukesha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bayman is looking to reverse the position.
Bayman is trying to control Mukesha's posture but Mukesha avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bayman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mukesha's best efforts.

Mukesha has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bayman is proving hard to escape from.
Mukesha is in close to Bayman's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bayman wants to sweep here but Mukesha controlling him for the moment.
Bayman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mukesha manages to get himself to full guard.

Mukesha closes the distance and clinches up with Bayman, looking for a takedown. Mukesha pushes Bayman against the cage but Bayman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mukesha shoots in but Bayman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mukesha slips a jab and a cross from Bayman.
A clash of legs there as Bayman blocks the low kick.
Mukesha lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mukesha.
Mukesha throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bayman's waist but Bayman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mukesha off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Mukesha or perhaps it was just good defense by Bayman which made him look bad.

Bayman tries to clinch up but Mukesha circles away and keeps his distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close second round but Dante Bayman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Bayman feints and as Mukesha raises his hands in defense, Bayman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mukesha escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bayman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mukesha takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bayman stuffs the takedown.
Mukesha looks to land a body kick but Bayman moved away.

Mukesha decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mukesha prevents Bayman from standing back up.
Bayman gets full guard.
Mukesha postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bayman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mukesha is rocked!

Bayman working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Oh Mukesha is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bayman swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mukesha is now in Bayman's guard. A big mistake from Bayman there, giving up the dominant position!
Mukesha seems to have got his legs back now.

Mukesha gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mukesha shoots in looking for a takedown. Bayman tries to sprawl out of it but Mukesha keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bayman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ciprian Mukesha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bayman wants to clinch.
Mukesha lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Mukesha is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Mukesha is looking to clinch but Bayman is avoiding it.

Mukesha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mukesha stays in close to Bayman's body and controls the position.

Dante Bayman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bayman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
