Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stanly Manly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MR J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanly Manly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, MR J!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manly is looking to clinch.

J scores with a takedown into Manly's guard.
J postures up.
J is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
J wants to pass the guard but Manly is keeping the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as J accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
J is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
I looks like J might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manly manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Manly avoids the attempt from J to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Manly wants to control the pace but J is squirming around nicely.
Manly misses with a head shot.
J tries to hold on but Manly pushes him away.

Manly jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but J manages to avoid the submission attempt.
J is working to avoid the ground and pound but Manly connects with a decent elbow.
J is trying to control Manly's posture but Manly avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
J manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Manly is looking for a kimura but J is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Manly to get the leverage.
Manly is breathing heavily.
J trying to control here.
J slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
J trying to strike off his back.

Manly is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! J is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! J has escaped and now he's on top!
J is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manly could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Despite being in the dominant position, MR J just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

J looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Manly!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

MR J dominated that round.
That's time! Manly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Manly moves out of range of the strikes.
Manly blocks a head kick by J.
Manly shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and J counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Manly gets back to full guard.
J with a flurry of punches that miss.
J postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Manly tries to land a sweep but no joy.
J stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manly swivels though and keeps the full guard.
J sitting in guard, not really doing much.
J trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
J works a leg free and moves into half guard.
J is pressing down on Manly's thigh, looking to free his foot. Manly is holding on for now.
J throwing shots but Manly is blocking nicely.
J sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Manly gets back to full guard.
Manly tries to land a sweep but no joy.
J trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Manly controls J momentarily but J frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

J has gone for a leg lock! Manly slips out almost immediately though and dives into J's guard.
J trying to control the position here.
Manly trying to control but J is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

J is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Manly postures up in J's guard and throws a big left but J blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

MR J showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


J has his takedown stuffed

and Manly counters with a takedown into side control.

Manly looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
J is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
MR J has got the better of the ground game so far.
J wants to control but Manly is keeping busy and won't allow it.
J gets back to full guard.
J lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Manly!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
J controlling from the full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
J is in the full mount, landing strikes.
J controlling his opponent.
J throwing strikes here but Manly is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Manly wants to hold on but J pushes him away.
Manly manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Manly, under a barage of strikes from J.
J throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
J wants to pass the guard but Manly is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Manly is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
J performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

J seems to be looking for submissions.
Manly is looking to control J's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Manly avoid being mounted?
Stanly Manly has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
MR J is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
J content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stanly Manly.
Well J has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
