Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogerio Cafu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cafu has chosen No way out as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enrique Rodrigo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cafu looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rodrigo won't allow Cafu to pass to mount.
Cafu working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Rodrigo's thigh. Rodrigo counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Rodrigo is looking to stand up but Cafu isn't so interested in that idea.
Cafu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rodrigo wants to stand up but Cafu is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cafu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rodrigo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cafu, into his guard.
Cafu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodrigo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodrigo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cafu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodrigo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodrigo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rodrigo is pushing down on Cafu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cafu is fighting to maintain full guard but Rodrigo has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rodrigo is looking to take a break and control but Cafu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cafu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rodrigo pulls his head out easily.

Rodrigo is keen to just control but Cafu is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodrigo seems to be looking for submissions.
Rodrigo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cafu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cafu fails to land the takedown.
Cafu closes the distance and clinches up with Rodrigo, looking for a takedown. Cafu pushes Rodrigo against the cage but Rodrigo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Enrique Rodrigo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rogerio Cafu.
Cafu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodrigo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No luck for Cafu with that takedown attempt.
Cafu dives in and grabs Rodrigo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rodrigo pushes down on Cafu's head and hops out.
Cafu closes the distance and clinches up with Rodrigo, looking for a takedown. Cafu pushes Rodrigo against the cage but Rodrigo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Rodrigo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rodrigo showed some decent athleticism there.
Rodrigo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Cafu is trying desperately to improve position.
Rodrigo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cafu is looking to escape.

Rodrigo is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Cafu is in real trouble.
Rodrigo looking to break Cafu's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Cafu remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Rodrigo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Cafu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rodrigo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cafu has Rodrigo in his guard.
Cafu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodrigo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enrique Rodrigo dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cafu misses with a takedown
and Rodrigo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Rodrigo is pressing down on Cafu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cafu is holding on for now.
Rodrigo wants to advance to full mount but Cafu doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Cafu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rodrigo defends it easily.
Cafu has his foot on Rodrigo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rodrigo works his way back into a safe position though.
Rodrigo passes Cafu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Rodrigo has hold of Cafu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cafu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
