Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shizuka Uesugi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hex Manchester!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uesugi dives in and grabs Manchester's left leg, looking for a takedown. Manchester pushes down on Uesugi's head and hops out.
Uesugi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Manchester is trying to escape the mount but Uesugi keeps good control and instead manages to take Manchester's back.
Uesugi gets his hands free as Manchester looks to control.
Uesugi is persistently looking for the submission but Manchester is defending it well.
Manchester rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Manchester actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Manchester is looking for a sweep. Uesugi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Manchester looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Uesugi is trying to control the action in half guard but Manchester is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Uesugi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Manchester does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Manchester closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Uesugi to the mat! Uesugi manages to get full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Uesugi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Manchester is aware though and is defending well.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Uesugi is on top in guard.

Manchester manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Uesugi is wriggling around trying to escape.
Uesugi tries to hold on but Manchester postures up.
Uesugi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Manchester prevents Uesugi from improving his position.
Manchester is working for a submission of some sort.
Manchester is thwarting Uesugi's attempts to control the position.
Manchester is pressing down on Uesugi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Uesugi is holding on for now.
Uesugi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Manchester's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Manchester's back!
Uesugi is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Manchester knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Manchester for a finish.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Uesugi's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Uesugi working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Manchester is doing well to defend. Uesugi seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Manchester is forced to tap and this one is over!
