Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Spicer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spicer comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots. Rolf Spicer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rolf Spicer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stan Smith!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spicer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Spicer working the strikes but Smith uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Smith is staying active underneath Spicer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Spicer lands a nice short elbow.

Spicer has hold of Smith's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smith manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Smith moves in looking to clinch but Spicer pushes him off.

Spicer dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Spicer's head and hops out.

Stan Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Spicer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Smith off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
