PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glass Joe comes to the cage accompanied by Rap Overdose. Fred Joe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glass Joe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Glass Joe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fred Joe holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Glass Joe tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Fred Joe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Glass Joe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fred Joe sprawls well initially but Glass Joe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fred Joe has hold of Glass Joe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Glass Joe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Glass Joe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Glass Joe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

I think Fred Joe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
