The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammersmith jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Beethoven is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Beethoven and Hammersmith has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hammersmith tries for a kimura but Beethoven is defending well.

Hammersmith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Beethoven has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hammersmith but great work by Beethoven .

Beethoven is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hammersmith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Beethoven wants to take a breather but Hammersmith manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Beethoven .

Hammersmith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beethoven drops back looking for a leg! Hammersmith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hammersmith manages to kick Beethoven off! Beethoven jumps back into Hammersmith's guard.

Hammersmith has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Beethoven . Oh but Hammersmith has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Beethoven goes limp - he's gone! Hammersmith jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
