Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between YB SUL (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey Flash acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, YB SUL!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Flash!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

SUL shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Flash is trying to control but can't.
SUL moves nicely into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
SUL advances to mount.
SUL looking to control but Flash is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
SUL looking to control and managing it successfully.

SUL tries to control but Flash wriggling away.
Flash wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by SUL.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flash is looking to get to half guard.

SUL moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Flash has worked his arm free - good work by Flash!

SUL goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Flash rolls with the submission and now he's on top in SUL's guard! Nice work there by Flash!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Flash throwing strikes but missing.
Flash wants to stand but SUL is controlling his posture from full guard.
Flash trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Flash is looking to stand up but SUL won't let him.

SUL escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
SUL wants to sweep but no luck.

Flash gets to his feet. SUL looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Flash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Flash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
SUL is looking to improve his position but Flash isn't that keen on the idea.

Flash get's back to his feet.
SUL dives in and grabs Flash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flash pushes down on SUL's head and hops out.
SUL is breathing heavily.

Flash drives through with a takedown into guard.
Flash wants to stand but SUL is controlling his posture from full guard.
SUL wants to sweep here but Flash controlling him for the moment.
SUL keeping moving, preventing Flash from controlling successfully.
Flash is looking to work some ground and pound but SUL has wrist control.

Flash avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

SUL escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Flash is looking to stand up but SUL won't let him.
Flash passes SUL's left leg - he's now in half guard.
SUL is refusing to be controlled, as Flash sits in half guard.
Flash trying to mount his opponent but SUL defends it.
Flash passes to side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
SUL is looking for a sweep.
Flash sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but SUL is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
SUL tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Flash wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Flash fails with the takedown

and SUL counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Flash is trying to control but can't.
SUL has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
SUL misses with a head shot.

SUL goes for an armbar but Flash turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Flash.
Flash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Flash is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

SUL is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Flash drops back looking for a leg! SUL is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and SUL manages to kick Flash off! Flash jumps back into SUL's guard.
SUL manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Flash manages to get himself to full guard.
SUL looking to sit in guard and control but Flash gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
SUL can't keep his opponent in guard - Flash advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

SUL has one foot on Flash's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
SUL throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
SUL shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Flash counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in SUL's guard now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flash is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Flash drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flash jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Flash with a flurry of punches that miss.
Flash wants to pass the guard but SUL is keeping the position.

SUL has his feet on Flash's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Flash gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and SUL counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Flash's guard now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Flash working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. SUL doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. SUL manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
SUL wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.

SUL forces his way into half guard.
SUL with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
SUL prevents Flash from improving his position.
Flash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of SUL's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take SUL's back!

Flash is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. SUL knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften SUL for a finish.
YB SUL overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Flash is persistently looking for the submission but SUL is defending it well.

SUL breaks Flash's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Flash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. SUL is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Flash closes the distance and clinches up with SUL, looking for a takedown. Flash pushes SUL against the cage but SUL circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
YB SUL has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Flash.

Well SUL has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
