Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Quick is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terry Bernard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Quick!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernard misses with a head kick.
Quick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Quick looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Bernard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Quick's half guard.

Bernard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Quick's guard.
Bernard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bernard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Quick for as long as he can get away with.

Bernard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Quick is trying to defend but Bernard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bernard drops back looking for a leg! Quick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quick manages to kick Bernard off! Bernard jumps back into Quick's guard.

Bernard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bernard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quick on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bernard scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Bernard shoots in and bounces Quick off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Bernard wants to stand but Quick is controlling his posture from full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Quick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bernard is in close to Quick's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Quick keeping moving, preventing Bernard from controlling successfully.
Quick wants to stand but Bernard is controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bernard throws a sloppy head kick and Quick moves out of range easily.

Well Bernard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
