The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dux misses with a few strikes there.

Bertozzi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dux.
A big left from Bertozzi misses.
Bertozzi shoots in for a takedown but Dux shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bertozzi shoots in and drives through. Dux sprawls well.
Bertozzi tries for a takedown but Dux sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlo Bertozzi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bertozzi ducks straight into an uppercut from Dux and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Bertozzi manages to regain guard straight away.
Dux wanted to stand there but Bertozzi had control of the position.
Bertozzi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bertozzi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dux has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bertozzi is proving hard to escape from.

Dux is looking to stand up but Bertozzi won't let him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nice takedown defense from Dux. No joy for Bertozzi on that attempt.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bertozzi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Dux rushes Bertozzi with punches - Bertozzi moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Bertozzi goes down! Dux follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
