Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daigon kins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). kins comes to the cage accompanied by Pain - Same old Song. Melo has chosen Who let the dogs out as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

kins drives through with a takedown into guard.
kins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
kins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
kins is looking to advance position but Melo has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
kins is looking to get to half guard.
kins holds on for dear life, controlling Melo's posture momentarily.
Melo avoids the attempt from kins to control.

Melo wants to finish this one by submission but kins is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Melo.

Melo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now kins is on top in guard.
kins scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

kins drops back looking for a leg! Melo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Melo manages to kick kins off! kins jumps back into Melo's guard.
Melo can't keep his opponent in guard - kins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

kins seems to be working for a kimura but Melo defends the submission attempt.
kins lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
kins controlling the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
kins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
BOOM! kins connects with a massive shot to the dome!
kins scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Melo?
kins controlling the pace for now.
Melo in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
kins is landing with some decent strikes but Melo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Melo can't escape the position.
Melo looks gassed!

kins looking for a guillotine from mount but Melo is having none of it.

kins fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

kins controlling the pace for now.
kins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

kins with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
kins controlling from the full mount.

kins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee warns Melo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

kins lands with a cross.

It looks like Victor Melo has been cut.
Melo shoots for a takedown but kins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

kins gets a takedown into half guard.
kins moves nicely into side control.
kins passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Melo!
kins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Daigon kins just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Nice combo by kins! Oh, that's hurt him - Melo falls to the canvas and kins follows him into side control.
