Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Trick Daddy - Let's Go ft Twista & Lil Jon. Gaeta has chosen B.Y.O.B. as his entrance music. Oscar Diaz has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Diaz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Diaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Diaz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gaeta is looking for a triangle but Diaz pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Diaz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gaeta is looking to sinch up a triangle. Diaz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gaeta's body to avoid the submission. Gaeta has instead reached around Diaz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gaeta arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
