Silva comes to the cage accompanied by What A Day. Guidry has chosen Du Hast as his entrance music. Ronnie Guidry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Guidry. Guidry obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva misses with a straight right.
Guidry slips a jab and a cross from Silva.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Guidry's head but Guidry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Guidry shoots in.
Guidry looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Guidry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Silva is trying to stand.
Guidry is controlling the pace.
I looks like Guidry might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Guidry seems to be looking for submissions.
Guidry is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Guidry is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Guidry is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.

Guidry seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt.
Silva tries to kick Guidry off but Guidry keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guidry gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guidry.
Jeramy Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie Guidry.

Silva lunges at Guidry with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Guidry's hand.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Guidry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.

Guidry steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Guidry closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Guidry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Guidry eventually gives up the hold.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guidry is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Guidry manages to mount him!

Guidry is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Guidry tries to keep control of the position but Silva is staying busy.
Guidry is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Guidry has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Silva is defending well but eventually Guidry manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Silva has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
