Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krayzie Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Yap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yap has chosen Ten Thousand Fists as his entrance music. Jay Yap has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krayzie Bone!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Yap!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bone is defended easily by Yap.

Bone clinches up with Yap and pushes him back against the cage.
Yap avoids a wild elbow strike from Bone.
A head punch on the inside from Bone fails to land.
Yap tries to score a body lock takedown but Bone shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
The referee is keeping an eye on Bone - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bone tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bone is working for takedown but Yap is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krayzie Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Yap decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Bone trying to control the action but Yap is working from the bottom.

Bone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yap is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Yap manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Krayzie Bone will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yap as he jumps to the side.
Bone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yap paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Yap defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bone.
Bone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yap circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krayzie Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yap misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yap swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Yap misses.
Bone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bone looks for a takedown but Yap sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yap shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bone napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Yap wants to stand but Bone has his arm trapped.

Bone moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yap gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Yap postures up in Bone's guard and throws a big left but Bone blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yap accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Yap passes into side control.
Yap lands an elbow.
Bone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bone is refusing to be controlled, as Yap sits in half guard.

Bone looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bone is staying active underneath Yap, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Yap pulls his head out easily.
Yap drops an elbow to the side of Bone's head.

Yap throwing shots but Bone is blocking nicely.

Yap missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Yap uses his free foot to push down on Bone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bone.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Yap looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Yap looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Bone is looking to improve his position but Yap isn't that keen on the idea.
Yap tries to control but Bone wriggling away.
Bone can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bone tries to lock up and control but Yap gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Yap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bone takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Yap wants to control the pace but Bone is squirming around nicely.

Jay Yap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yap circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yap looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bone is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yap knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Yap struggling a bit here.
I wouldn't like to be where Yap is right now.
Yap tries to bench press Bone off him but Bone keeps the position.

and Yap counters with a shoot takedown. Bone fights it but they end up in guard.

That was a close round but Krayzie Bone did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Yap got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yap has managed to get both his arms back between Bone's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bone doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Yap counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Yap gets to his feet. Bone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Yap decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bone's guard.
Bone has momentary wrist control but Yap slips an elbow through the middle.

Yap content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Yap trying to control but Bone is working from the bottom.
Yap with a flurry of punches that miss.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Bone has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Yap doesn't defend quickly enough and Bone has managed to lock this one up! Can Yap escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bone on a fantastic submission victory.
