Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pentti Matikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasse Lukottaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matikainen comes to the cage accompanied by Terveisiä perseestä. Pentti Matikainen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukottaja wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lasse Lukottaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lukottaja bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lukottaja drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Matikainen pulls Lukottaja in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matikainen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Lukottaja wants to control from the top but Matikainen keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lukottaja accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Matikainen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lukottaja is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Matikainen's half guard.
Lukottaja working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Matikainen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lukottaja is taking a breather. Matikainen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Lukottaja has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lukottaja wants to work for an arm triangle but Matikainen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Matikainen fails to land with a series of punches.

Lukottaja will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Lukottaja has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lukottaja is working to tighten is grip on Matikainen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Matikainen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lukottaja is really squeezing tight and eventually Matikainen passes out! Lukottaja breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
