Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Snowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motta misses with a looping left.
A chopping leg kick lands by Snowe.
Motta shoots in for a takedown but Snowe shows good takedown defense.
Snowe staying out of range there.
Snowe throws a front kick that sends Motta stumbling back into the cage.
Nice uppercut lands for Motta. That snapped Snowe's head back.
Motta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Snowe.

Snowe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Snowe wants to control but Motta is keeping him busy.

Motta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Snowe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Snowe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Motta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snowe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snowe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Snowe wanted to stand there but Motta had control of the position.
Snowe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Motta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Snowe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Motta has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Snowe has managed to get both his arms back between Motta's legs - danger averted.
