PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Cordin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cordin has chosen Smash Mouth - All Star as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Cordin closes the distance and pushes Carwin back into the cage.
Cordin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Carwin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Carwin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cordin fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cordin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cordin has his feet on Carwin's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Cordin's corner calls for a 1-2. Cordin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Carwin leaves Cordin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Cordin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Cordin jumps guard and drags Carwin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cordin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carwin as he jumps to the side.

Cordin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Carwin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jason Cordin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cordin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
