Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aamakualenalena Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Gutierez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson comes to the cage accompanied by The Verve- Bittersweet Symphony. Aamakualenalena Robinson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Aamakualenalena Robinson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gutierez gets caught flat footed, as Robinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Robinson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Robinson drops back looking for a leg! Gutierez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gutierez manages to kick Robinson off! Robinson jumps back into Gutierez's guard.

Gutierez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Robinson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gutierez.

Gutierez is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Robinson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Well, with Gutierez on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Robinson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Gutierez is persistently looking for the submission but Robinson is defending it well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gutierez unloads with some shots from mount but Robinson bucks and avoids them well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Robinson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Gutierez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Robinson defends it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Robinson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gutierez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Robinson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Gutierez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Robinson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Gutierez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Robinson lets go of the hold and Gutierez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
