Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice Giguere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giguere has chosen "Eos" by Ulver as his entrance music. Fernando Araujo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Maurice Giguere's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giguere on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Araujo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Araujo connects with a nice short shot to Giguere's temple.

Araujo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Giguere is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Araujo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Giguere's back instead.

Araujo working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Giguere is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Araujo has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Giguere taps out!
