Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Gullich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Dank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Gullich.
Dank tries to clinch up.
Stephen Dank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gullich.

Dank is looking to reverse the position.

Gullich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gullich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dank is trying to buck Gullich off.

Gullich thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gullich goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dank rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gullich's guard! Nice work there by Dank!
Dank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gullich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gullich is trying to keep Dank in close.
Gullich tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gullich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dank gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dank won't allow Gullich to sweep him here.
Dank tries to stand but Gullich is controlling from the bottom.

Gullich is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dank is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gullich wants to sweep but no luck.
Gullich is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dank tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gullich swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dank is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dank tries to clinch up but Gullich circles away and keeps his distance.

Dank moves into range and clinches up with Gullich.
Gullich is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Dank gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gullich.
Still in the clinch, Dank scores with a nice short uppercut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Gullich's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Gullich throws a body punch but Dank moves out of range.
Dank tries to clinch but Gullich is having none of it.

Dank throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dank throws a right and a left that Gullich avoids nicely.
Dank tries to clinch up but Gullich circles away and keeps his distance.
Stephen Dank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dank wants to clinch up but Gullich keeps it at a distance.
Dank wants to clinch.
Dank tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gullich swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dank misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gullich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dank tries to clinch up.
Gullich takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dank tries to clinch there but Gullich circles away.
Gullich misses with a series of wild punches.
Dank throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dank tries to close the distance and clinch but Gullich swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dank misses with a few strikes there.

Gullich gets a takedown into half guard.

Gullich is trying to work for a kimura but Dank is defending well.

Gullich is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dank sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gullich is looking to advance position but Dank won't allow it.

Gullich is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gullich not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Gullich is working for a kimura but Dank is defending it quite comfortably.

Gullich is looking for a kimura but Dank is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gullich to get the leverage.
Dank is pressing down on Gullich's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gullich is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dank is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dank has escaped and now he's on top!

Gullich is working an open guard so Dank takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Dank swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters circling - Gullich throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dank is looking to clinch but Gullich is avoiding it.

Gullich slips nicely into half guard.
Gullich is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dank!

Gullich working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Dank turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gullich off and cradles Dank's limp body as Gullich celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Wolfgang Gullich!
