Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cid Saturday!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saturday fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holister, pushing him back against the cage.
Saturday tries to land a knee to the head but Holister blocks with his arms.

Saturday escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Saturday clinches up with Holister and pushes him back against the cage.
Holister wants to get back to striking at distance but Saturday won't allow it.
Saturday tries for a takedown but Holister manages to get underhooks.
Holister's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Holister could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Holister lands with a left to the head.
Saturday will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Holister up against the cage.
Saturday is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Holister gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Holister just misses with a elbow thrown towards Saturday's brow.
Saturday's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Saturday cracks Holister with a nice body shot.
Holister is trying to drag Saturday to the mat but Saturday just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Saturday ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Saturday no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Holister wanted to stand there but Saturday had control of the position.
Holister stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saturday swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Saturday wants to sweep but no luck.

Saturday is working an open guard so Holister takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Saturday shoots in for a takedown but Holister shows good takedown defense.
Liam Holister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cid Saturday.
Saturday throws a head kick but Holister moves out of range.
Saturday will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Saturday counters with a three punch combo that has Holister backing up. Holister nods at Saturday to acknowledge the strikes.

Saturday closes the distance and pushes Holister back into the cage.
Holister has had enough of the clinch but Saturday keeps him there for the moment.
Holister trying to control the position but instead, Saturday has worked for underhooks and has pushed Holister into the cage.
Saturday is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Holister gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Saturday pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Holister works Saturday's body with a nice hook.
Saturday looks gassed!
Holister avoids the body shot from Saturday.
Saturday dives in and grabs Holister's left leg, looking for a takedown. Holister pushes down on Saturday's head and hops out.
Holister tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Saturday counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Saturday decides to pull guard.
Holister trying to control the position from guard on top but Saturday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Holister is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Saturday is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Holister pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Saturday is keeping the position for now.
Holister wants to stand and escape but instead Saturday has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Saturday slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Holister wants to stand up but Saturday is controlling him.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Saturday postures up in Holister's guard and throws a big left but Holister blocks it.
Saturday won't allow Holister to sweep him here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Holister stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holister wants it to stay on the feet.

Saturday closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Holister jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saturday walks away with a smile on his face. Holister gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Holister throws a head kick but Saturday moves out of range.

Holister has managed to clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Holister jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saturday walks away with a smile on his face. Holister gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Saturday tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holister swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Holister throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Holister lands a high kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cid Saturday will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Saturday tries for a takedown but Holister sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Cid Saturday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saturday manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cid Saturday showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Saturday takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Saturday is fighting to break Holister's control of his arms but Holister is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Holister has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Holister has control of Saturday's left arm, preventing Saturday from doing any damage.
Holister is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Saturday tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Holister swivels and escapes.
Holister shoots for a takedown but Saturday saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Saturday closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
