Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Schaefer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Darko!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schaefer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Darko defends it nicely.
Ben Schaefer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schaefer dives in and grabs Darko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Darko pushes down on Schaefer's head and hops out.
Schaefer fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Schaefer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schaefer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Schaefer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Darko moves away.
Schaefer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Darko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Schaefer is trying to defend but Darko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Darko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Schaefer's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darko slips a nice elbow through Schaefer's hands, connecting with Schaefer's forehead.
Schaefer is looking to improve his position.
Ground and pound from Darko.

Schaefer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Darko wants to free his trapped foot but Schaefer is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Darko working over Schaefer with some ground and pound. Schaefer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Darko uses his free foot to push down on Schaefer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Schaefer.
Schaefer is in a horrible position here. Darko smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Ben Schaefer has been cut.
Schaefer is bucking up trying to escape but Darko cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Schaefer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Ben Schaefer's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Darko landing punches.
Darko lands a big shot there that rocks Schaefer but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schaefer regains half guard.
Darko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darko prevents Schaefer from improving his position.
Darko works his way into full mount!
Schaefer is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Darko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jeez, Ben Schaefer's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ben Schaefer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
