The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range.

Gracie moves into the clinch.

Gracie turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gracie manages to end up in side control.

Gracie is trying to get an arm triangle but Freitas is defending well.
Freitas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Freitas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Freitas looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Freitas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Freitas defends the submission attempt.
Freitas is not content to let Gracie control the position.

Gracie moves into full mount! Freitas won't be happy about that!
Freitas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gracie is looking to advance position but Freitas won't allow it.

Freitas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.
Freitas looks gassed!
Gracie works his way into side control.
Freitas gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gracie is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Freitas has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gracie mounts Freitas! Really nice guard pass there!

Gracie moves to back control.
Freitas turns into Gracie and is now in his guard.
Freitas throws and elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Freitas's guard. Nice move by Gracie!
Gracie controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gracie is pushing down on Freitas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Freitas is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gracie passes to full mount!
Freitas is working to get back to half guard.

Gracie has control of Freitas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Freitas regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gracie is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Freitas is forced to tap! Great finish!
