The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins misses with the combination.
Kshymensky could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Higgins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Higgins trying to control the action but Kshymensky is working from the bottom.
Kshymensky avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Higgins.
Higgins with the ground and pound but Kshymensky uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Higgins working some strikes from top position.
Higgins is working Kshymensky over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Higgins won't allow Kshymensky to get back to his feet.
Higgins throws and elbow that misses. Kshymensky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Higgins's guard. Nice move by Kshymensky!

Higgins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kshymensky is trying to stand back up but Higgins is controlling him
Higgins tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kshymensky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Higgins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Higgins thows a huge punch but Kshymensky dodges it nicely.
Higgins moves into full mount! Kshymensky won't be happy about that!
Kshymensky is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Higgins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kshymensky is breathing heavily.

Higgins postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kshymensky badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Higgins around the waist but Higgins pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Higgins is the winner by TKO! Higgins jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
