Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Fowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Bique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bique has chosen Back in black - AC/DC as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowley swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Jason Fowley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fowley thows a body shot but no joy.
A punch lands to the side of Bique 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Bique closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bique lands in his opponent's guard.

Bique stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fowley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bique is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bique gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Fowley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bique manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fowley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fowley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bique might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fowley kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Fowley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bique's guard.
Bique looks gassed!
Fowley wants to control from the top but Bique keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Fowley will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fowley defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Bique's arms.

Ronaldo Bique showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fowley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fowley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bique paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fowley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bique is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bique tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bique wants to hold on but Fowley pushes him away.
Fowley is landing with some decent strikes but Bique is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Bique defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fowley.
Bique is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Fowley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bique has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Fowley avoids the attempt from Bique to control.
Fowley sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bique tries to lock up and control but Fowley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Bique is looking to get to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bique is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fowley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fowley's back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Fowley.
