Victor comes to the cage accompanied by Enigma - Hello and welcome. Howatt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Boom - POD. Blair Howatt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howatt shoots in and bounces Victor off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Victor is controlling Howatt's posture.

Howatt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Victor has his hands on Howatt's head, controlling the position.

Howatt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Victor has his foot on Howatt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howatt works his way back into a safe position though.
Victor is trying to control the position but Howatt postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Victor is on top in guard.
Victor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Victor wants to pass the guard but Howatt is keeping the position.
Victor pushes down on Howatt's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Howatt slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Howatt holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Victor stops Howatt from standing up.

Victor passes into half guard.

Victor seems to be working for a kimura but Howatt defends the submission attempt.
Victor trying to mount his opponent but Howatt defends it.

Victor is trying to control the action in half guard but Howatt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Victor uses his free foot to push down on Howatt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Howatt.

Victor throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Howatt has his hands clasped together but Victor breaks the hold and Howatt is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Victor!
