Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Loucks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayne Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Loucks!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to clinch there but Loucks circles away.

Loucks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Williams is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Loucks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Loucks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Loucks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loucks on the ground.

Loucks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Williams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
Loucks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Williams sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Loucks avoids a kick to the body.
Williams jabs Loucks right on the nose. Loucks blinks but takes it well.
No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A big head kick from Williams and Loucks is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Sean Loucks has been cut.

Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Loucks is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard.

Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Loucks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Loucks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.
Loucks is nestled in close to Williams, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Loucks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.

Loucks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Loucks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That was a close round but I would say that Wayne Williams will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
