The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Carvalho circles away.
Carvalho looks to clinch

and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Carvalho lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Joey Jones has been cut.

Carvalho lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Carvalho tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carvalho's guard.
Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Carvalho lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Carvalho thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carvalho working the clinch nicely. Jones is working for position but Carvalho cracks him with a big knee to the head! Jones crumples up against the cage and Carvalho lands two more shots before the ref can save Jones! This one is all over!
