Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between dMarcus Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Stockdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drake - Over. Bob Stockdale has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with dMarcus Carlton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Stockdale!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Stockdale shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carlton but Carlton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carlton shoots for a double leg takedown but Stockdale sprawls well. He's pushed Carlton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carlton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stockdale sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carlton somewhat.
Stockdale doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Carlton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
dMarcus Carlton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Stockdale.
Carlton stands and throws Stockdale's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stockdale being controlled for a moment.

Carlton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Stockdale prevents Carlton from improving position.

Carlton trying to control the action but Stockdale is working from the bottom.
Stockdale manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Carlton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stockdale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Carlton is working hard here to advance position.
Carlton has a closed guard, preventing Stockdale from standing up.
Stockdale looks gassed!
Carlton can't keep his opponent in guard - Stockdale advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Carlton gets back to full guard.
Carlton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stockdale's guard.

Carlton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carlton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Carlton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stockdale dives on top into guard.

Stockdale trying to control but Carlton is working from the bottom.
Stockdale trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carlton's guard.
Stockdale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carlton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

dMarcus Carlton dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Carlton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Carlton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stockdale keeps working.
Stockdale tries to bench press Carlton off him but Carlton keeps the position.

Carlton tries for a kimura but Stockdale is defending well.

Carlton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carlton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stockdale is not content to let Carlton control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carlton throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Stockdale has his hands clasped together but Carlton breaks the hold and Stockdale is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Carlton!
