Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Pickles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Pickles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Wells!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wells darts in and clinches Pickles up against the cage.
Wells stalling against the cage.
Pickles keeps control of Wells as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pickles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Wells has had enough of the clinch but Pickles keeps him there for the moment.
Wells is trying to break free.
Wells lands a body punch.
Wells working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Pickles drags the fight down to the ground.

Pickles looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pickles has his foot on Wells's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wells works his way back into a safe position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pickles looking for a guillotine here but Wells defends easily.

Wells content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Pickles looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pickles tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wells stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pickles swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wells in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wells tries to stand but Pickles is controlling from the bottom.
Wells trying to control the position from guard on top but Pickles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pickles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wells can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Pickles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wells manages to get himself to full guard.

Wells had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pickles defends it easily.

Pickles drops back looking for a leg! Wells is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wells manages to kick Pickles off! Pickles jumps back into Wells's guard.
Wells is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pickles thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pickles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pickles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wells wants to stand up but Pickles is controlling him.
Wells looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wells cracks Pickles with an open hand slap.
Wells misses with a two punch combination.
Wells is looking to clinch.
Wells defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pickles.
Wells lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pickles avoids the body shot from Wells.

Wells closes the distance and clinches.
Wells content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Pickles tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wells just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Pickles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A right hand to the body from Wells.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wells looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Wells's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wells cracks Pickles with an open hand slap.
Adam Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pickles dodges the punch combination from Wells.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wells lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wells stalks Pickles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pickles's face. Pickles staggers backwards, shaken.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Adam Wells will probably get the nod.
That's time! Pickles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wells scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wells lands with a big right hook that stumbles Pickles - he's out on his feet here! Wells follows up with another monster hook that separates Pickles from consciousness! Pickles falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Wells stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adam Wells!
