PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Radu Mondragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Felin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mondragon comes to the cage accompanied by "Five To One" by Marilyn Manson. Felin has chosen poisen as his entrance music. Mikael Felin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Radu Mondragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikael Felin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondragon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Felin as he jumps to the side.
Mondragon slaps away a takedown attempt from Felin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mondragon misses with a hook. Felin ducked under it nicely.
Felin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Left hook, right uppercut from Felin.

Mondragon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mondragon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Felin down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
You can see the frustration on Felin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Felin is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Mondragon is staying active.

That was a close round but I would say that Radu Mondragon will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Felin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Felin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mondragon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
