Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Zaromskis!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaromskis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zaromskis moves in looking to clinch but Engstrom pushes him off.
Zaromskis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Engstrom counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Zaromskis is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Engstrom holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Zaromskis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Engstrom gets his way!

Engstrom seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Zaromskis's chin but Zaromskis turns very nicely into Engstrom's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Zaromskis.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Zaromskis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Engstrom is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Engstrom throws a head kick but Zaromskis moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Engstrom counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Zaromskis throws a lazy head kick

and Engstrom counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zaromskis!
Engstrom can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zaromskis is looking to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Engstrom doesn't have the hooks in and Zaromskis manages to turn into his guard.

Engstrom is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zaromskis defends well.

Well Engstrom has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
