Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between rarely the great (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charon Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, rarely the great!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charon Hawkins!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

the great turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Hawkins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked the great off and has taken his back!
Even with his hooks in, Hawkins manages to miss with strikes from the back.
the great wants to control his opponent's hands but Hawkins gets his hands free.

the great wants to control from the top but Hawkins keeps moving.
the great wants to get up but he can't break Hawkins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hawkins wants to sweep here but the great controlling him for the moment.
Hawkins doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Hawkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. the great gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells the great's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Hawkins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and the great defends well.
Hawkins will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

the great trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
the great working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
the great working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hawkins's head.
the great connects with a couple of short punches.

Hawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but the great can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hawkins has momentary wrist control but the great slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hawkins has his foot on the great's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. the great works his way back into a safe position though.

Hawkins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and the great defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawkins manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hawkins sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Hawkins throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for the great because Hawkins loaded up on that one.

the great holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hawkins tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Hawkins jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… the great is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by the great and Hawkins has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on the great's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
An elbow from Hawkins crashes against the mat.
Hawkins throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and the great works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Hawkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
the great wants to get back to his feet.
Hawkins passes to side control.
the great managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hawkins.
Charon Hawkins has got the better of the ground game so far.

the great parries the strikes from Hawkins easily there. Hawkins is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable the great to escape.
Hawkins in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Hawkins throws a strike aimed at the side of the great's head but the great avoids it well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
the great misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hawkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hawkins wants it to stay on the feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hawkins is on top in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that rarely the great will probably get the nod.

Hawkins tries to pull guard but the great holds him up against the cage and eventually Hawkins drops back down to his feet.

Hawkins is looking for a sweep.
Hawkins manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
the great prevents Hawkins from improving his position.
Hawkins moves into full guard.
Hawkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hawkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. the great is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hawkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take the great's back instead.

Hawkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
the great tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
the great tries to roll over but Hawkins keeps him under control.

Hawkins seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. the great is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
